Fall time of year in the Albemarle area of NC
I love the fall season. The colors of the fall foilage along side the road, the turning of the leaves and the decorations in front of the Elizabeth City homes. These Pasquotank County country folks sure know how to decorate for the change of seasons. Cornstalk teepees, pumpkins all around the stalks and unshelled corn hanging so pretty. It all signifies the time of harvest in the Albemarle area. Northeast North Carolina is a large agriculture area anyway so we are blessed to have many farmers around. And you know where there's a farmer there's a good decorating wife close by! It all adds up to the fact that it's hard to find an area around the country that is as easy to live in as the Albemarle area of NC. Water galore and fishing like you've never seen. Freshwater and saltwater varieties of fish come up into the Pasquotank River this time of year and the striped bass fishing is wonderful. Oh no! That means the hubby will not be here much between now and Christmas. I mean...I guess I'll be doing my Christmas shopping when and where I want to. Ain't that right Girls! Let's go spend their money!
